Layout decides how well a facility works
With several courts in one space, spacing and flow matter as much as the surface. We plan every facility around how players arrive, wait, play and watch.

Engineered to stay open and stay flat
Commercial courts see far more play than a backyard court, so the base and drainage have to do more. Every build starts with an engineered base, a clear-stone drainage layer and a compacted structural base, finished with a 0.8 to 1 percent slope so water leaves the court quickly.
Surface options: asphalt with an acrylic coating is the most common choice for outdoor courts. Concrete suits some very high-use sites, and modular systems work well for multi-sport areas. Read more in the pickleball court surface options guide and how courts are built and why the base matters.

How many courts can fit in our space?
It depends on the site. Each court needs its playing area plus safe run-off space around it, and multi-court layouts also need room for gates, walkways and spectators. We lay this out during the site evaluation. See the court dimensions and layout guide for the basics.
What's the best surface for commercial courts?
Asphalt or concrete with an acrylic coating system is most common. Modular surfaces are an option for multi-sport areas and can go over permeable asphalt where permeability requirements apply.
Can you convert or add to existing tennis courts or open lawn?
Tell us what you have. We'll evaluate the existing base, grades and drainage and recommend whether to build new or work with what's there.
Do commercial courts need more maintenance?
Busy courts need more frequent cleaning, but a properly built base and good drainage keep long-term repairs to a minimum.
